"After two and a half years of use and abuse, my self propelled lawn mower was a basket case. I was convinced I needed to just bite the bullet and purchase a new mower. The drive belt was worn to a thread, the cable actuating the drive was snapped, the blade was destroyed by cutting heavy weeds and shrubs, the drive chain was inoperable. It also had never been cleaned or tuned during this time.

However, in this fiscal environment, my wife convinced me to just see if it could be repaired. So I took it to the Bassett's fully convinced that they would be unable to help this abused mower. SURPRISE!! Bill called and told me it was salvageable and what it would cost. They ordered the parts, replaced them, did a complete tune up and blade sharpening, and cleaned the the mower. When I brought the mower home my wife thought I had just gone out and purchased a new mower. I am very pleased to say that after cutting my grass twice, it is operating like a new one. I am very pleased because I have a better than new mower and the total cost including parts and service was a fraction of the price of a new mower.
